1. Who we are
The Romanian Orthodox Parish Edinburgh is a registered Scottish charity (SC048786). Address: 15 Chamberlain Road, Edinburgh EH10 4DJ. Email: edinburgh@mitropolia.eu.
2. What data we collect
Donations: Through GoCardless, we collect data necessary for payment processing (name, email, banking details). GoCardless is PCI-DSS compliant and has its own privacy policy.
Push Notifications: If you subscribe, we collect an anonymous token (FCM) to send notifications. This is not associated with your name or email address.
Analytics: With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity and Vercel Analytics to understand website usage. We do not collect personally identifiable information through these tools.
Cookies: Strictly necessary cookies (security, language, donation flow) are always active. Analytics cookies require your explicit consent.
3. How we use your data
Collected data is used exclusively for: processing donations, sending push notifications (with your consent), improving the site through anonymous analytics, and meeting legal obligations.
4. Legal basis
Payment data is processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) and contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)). Analytics data is processed solely on the basis of consent.
5. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Contact edinburgh@mitropolia.eu for any request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office).
6. Data security
Payment data is processed exclusively through GoCardless, regulated by the FCA. We do not store your card details.
